At pivotal stages or transitions in life such as post-college adjustment, becoming a parent or midlife, we find ourselves at a crossroads, feeling a deep and possibly new awareness of the significance our choices. Transitions involve change, which is difficult for most people, even when necessary and positive. They can be especially challenging for women.

As women, we’ve already got a lot on our plate: trying to be all things to all people; chasing perfection and taking care of everybody while putting ourselves last. In our quest to be the best we lose touch with our own needs and end up feeling disconnected and emotionally drained.
